SAVORY

Savory (Satureja thymbra) is an annual member of the mint family, that is native to the Mediterranean region.

The leaf of this bush, has spicy flavor characteristics, with mild and slightly sweet taste.

The flavor profile of savory has been compared to that of thyme. Savory is a culinary companion, but is also excellent infused in honey or vinegar, or combined with other herbs as a tableside seasoning and salt alternative.
